As part of a comprehensive visual identity overhaul, Croatia Airlines has introduced a new collection of cabin crew uniforms, positioning them as a central communication element of the national carrier’s refreshed brand.
The redesign goes beyond functionality. The new uniforms are conceived as visible, everyday ambassadors of the airline’s values, identity and professional standards, reinforcing Croatia Airlines’ role as a key representative of the country on the global stage, the airlines said in a statement.
The new uniform collection has been designed as a capsule wardrobe system, carefully structured to meet the operational demands of working in an aircraft cabin while seamlessly aligning with the company’s renewed visual language.
Croatian fashion designer Martina Vrdoljak Ranilović is behind the design. The collection consists of a series of core, modular pieces that allow for multiple combinations within a clearly defined visual framework.
The approach ensures flexibility, coherence and long-term sustainability. Durability, functionality and visual consistency were key guiding principles. The system has been developed as a long-term clothing solution capable of maintaining its relevance and practicality over an extended period.
In conceptual terms, the design seeks a balance between the almost romanticised heritage perception of the cabin crew profession and a contemporary, functional approach suited to the realities of modern aviation.

The uniforms are tailored to allow ease of movement, a sense of security and professional dignity. At the same time, they serve as a strong visual expression of the airline’s identity.
The colour palette is drawn directly from Croatia Airlines’ renewed visual identity. A dominant dark blue, traditionally associated with professionalism, reliability and authority, forms the foundation of the collection.
Additional tones appear as subtle accents, reinforcing brand coherence without overpowering the overall look.
Material selection was a crucial aspect of the development process, particularly given the specific working conditions within an aircraft cabin.
Priority was given to natural fibres, offering greater comfort, breathability and safety. The garments are constructed to be worn throughout most of the year, ensuring adaptability across seasonal variations.

Part of Wider Brand and Fleet Renewal
The uniform redesign forms part of a broader transformation within Croatia Airlines. The carrier is currently undertaking an extensive fleet renewal programme, which includes the arrival of 15 new Airbus A220 aircraft.
Simultaneously, the airline has introduced a fully refreshed visual identity, including a redesigned logo and updated aircraft livery.

The changes aim to enhance visibility, strengthen the expression of national identity and present a more contemporary brand image.
According to visual identity designer Ivana Ivanković, the new visual code is consistently applied across all elements of the system, including official scarves and ties worn by crew members.

This ensures complete coherence across the airline’s brand presentation.
