Deja Marc is a sentimental fine jewellery brand that captures life’s most meaningful moments through personalised fingerprint, handwriting, and paw print engraving on high-quality precious metals. Every piece is custom made, honouring personal connection and timeless craftsmanship. With a growing global customer base and a newly launched Sydney showroom, we are ready to introduce a new chapter in our brand—developing a more elevated, luxurious design direction through a premium engraved collection.

We are seeking a freelance jewellery designer to evolve our existing design language into a more refined, luxury aesthetic through the creation of a new engravable jewellery range. This role is ideal for a designer who understands both sentimentality and high-end craftsmanship, and who can bring a timeless, elevated feel to personalised pieces. You’ll collaborate closely with our founder, in-house team, and trusted suppliers to create designs that are both technically sound and emotionally compelling.

This is a project-based freelance role focused on the development of one premium engravable collection. We anticipate 4–8 hero pieces with design delivery expected within a 6–10 week timeframe (flexible) across 1-2 days a week. Further work may be available based on alignment and performance.

We’re known for our minimal, meaningful pieces that celebrate connection without excess. Our goal is to retain that emotional clarity while adding greater depth, sophistication, and design richness to our upcoming collections.

  • Concept and design a new collection of premium, engravable jewellery pieces from scratch.
  • Elevate our design language into a more luxurious and timeless direction without altering our existing core range.
  • Create detailed, production-ready CAD files using Rhino, Matrix, or similar software.
  • Design with surfaces and silhouettes specifically suitable for fingerprint, handwriting, or paw print engraving.
  • Collaborate with our jewellery suppliers to confirm technical feasibility, materials, and production specifications.
  • Work alongside our in-house engraving and production teams to ensure smooth translation from design to final product.

KEY SKILLS

  • Proven experience designing fine or personalised jewellery (portfolio and CAD samples required).
  • Proficiency in CAD software such as Rhino, Matrix, or similar.
  • Strong understanding of precious metals, casting, and commercial jewellery production.
  • An eye for emotionally resonant design and sensitivity to storytelling through form.
  • Ability to deliver independently and communicate clearly within a freelance framework.
