CAMILLA is on the hunt for a Senior Planner to join our Merchandise and Planning tribe on a 12-Month Maternity Leave Contract.
Already one of Australia’s leading luxury retailers, CAMILLA is expanding its presence internationally across wholesale, retail, and online spaces. This role will oversee all aspects of product planning, supporting the Merchandise strategy across our omni-channel business, including Online, Retail, and Wholesale.
Our Senior Planner will manage the daily processing of inventory across all channels, identifying opportunities to maximise sales, deliver profit targets, and meet key financial KPIs. It is an exciting time to join us on our journey to colour the world!
- Building and presenting department Strategy & Budgets with the Planning Manager, Merchandise Director & Executive Team.
- Building annual Category budgets and intake plans using historical analysis in conjunction with the Planning Manager & Channel Planner.
- Develop and manage category financial plans throughout the season including sales, margin, and inventory forecasts.
- Conduct comprehensive market analysis to identify growth opportunities and risks.
- Collaborate with the Merchandise and Design teams to align category strategies with seasonal and long-term business objectives.
- Ensure the product strategy is adhered to and adjusted when required to reflect recent commercial and creative direction.
- Be accountable for achieving all department KPIs, reacting to trade and looking for opportunities to optimise Sales, Profit and minimise Markdowns.
- Collaborate with multiple business functions including Buying, Finance, Design, Marketing, Retail, Online & National & International Wholesale teams to ensure the business is aligned.
- Ensure delivery of balanced ranges by providing in depth category analysis at each stage of the range planning process.
- Provide in-depth post-season review documents and present findings to the Creative and Executive teams.
- Be responsible for the range build from start to finish, ensuring all necessary collection information is provided in line with Critical Path requirements.
- Identify and resolve inventory issues, including overstock and stockouts.
- Partner with Supply Chain and Allocation teams to ensure the right product mix at the right time, optimising inventory turnover.
KEY SKILLS
- An experienced planner with a proven reputation in forecasting, range building and inventory management and a leader who excels in guiding creative teams through the analysis to deliver commercial outcomes
- A solid understanding of retail operations
- Highly proficient in Excel, and exposure to retail reporting systems and merchandise planning tools.
- Ability to tailor reporting to meet the specific needs of the department and overall business.
- Analytical thinking, including strong problem solving and mathematical reasoning skills.
- Demonstrates initiative, self-motivation and ownership and sets clear performance standards for self and others.
- Takes a mature and flexible approach, responding positively to change, open to new ideas.
- Remains calm, focused, and balanced in perspective, despite considerable pressure from deadlines
- Ability to work independently, under pressure, and multitask.
- Ability to meet set deadlines, and work with a sense of urgency.
- Strict attention to detail and timely follow-up . Data accuracy is essential.
- Ability to build and maintain effective relationships with all departments.
