The Category Manager for Nancy Ganz is responsible for driving the strategic direction, sales growth, and profitability of the brand.
This role will manage the full product lifecycle, from trend analysis and product development through to merchandising, marketing, and sales performance – ensuring alignment with the overall brand strategy.
The Category Manager reports to the General Manager and collaborates closely with cross-functional teams to position the brand as a leader in the lingerie market.
- Develop and implement the brand strategy in line with the overall business objectives.
- Analyze retail customer performance, market trends, consumer insights, and competitor activity.
- Define pricing, margin, and promotional strategies to optimize sales and profitability.
- Oversee product range planning, selection, and range assortment.
- Collaborate with design and production teams to ensure range assortment, quality, fit, and innovation.
- Ensure brand consistency in aesthetics and product positioning across all channels.
- Create brand catalogues and marketing assets.
- Manage all customer accounts and selling Agents globally.
- Conduct regular major customer performance reviews and implement actions to maximize sales.
- Manage category budgets, forecasts, and inventory planning in collaboration with supply chain.
- Collaborate with the General Manager on category performance and strategic direction to drive effective campaigns, launches, and customer engagement.
- Manage and support instore merchandising teams.
KEY SKILLS
- Minimum 3+ years’ experience in category/product management within fashion, lingerie, or apparel.
- Strong commercial acumen with proven ability to deliver sales and profit growth.
- Excellent negotiation, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
- Data-driven mindset with advanced analytical skills (Excel, reporting tools).
- Ability to balance creativity with commercial decision-making.
- Strategic thinker with an eye for detail.
- Strong leadership and team collaboration skills.
