We look forward to meeting our newest creative force as our Social Media Specialist at our growing eCommerce business. This is a brand new role in a growing team. This role is hybrid, working from our inspiring office in Burleigh Heads (approx 2 days per week) while also offering flexibility from home.

We help our customers sleep and live better through our premium linen and homewares, and now we’re looking for a Social Media Specialist to help bring our brand to life across digital channels. As part of our creative and marketing team, you’ll play a crucial role in content planning and conceptualisation, with a particular focus on TikTok and short-form video strategy. You’ll work alongside our existing Social Media Specialist, ensuring a collaborative approach to our social media execution while focusing on different areas of content strategy.
This role is hands-on and dynamic, requiring a mix of creative thinking, trend-spotting, and planning skills. You’ll have a deep understanding of social media storytelling, platform-specific strategies, and engagement tactics to drive brand visibility and audience growth.
- Develop and execute a TikTok-first content strategy, ensuring fresh and innovative concepts that resonate with our audience.
- Plan and oversee a robust content calendar, aligning with product launches, campaigns, and seasonal moments.
- Work closely with the Social Media Manager to brainstorm and refine creative ideas for TikTok and Instagram.
- Stay ahead of platform trends, emerging formats, and viral content opportunities, adapting them for I Love Linen.
- Lead creative ideation sessions, ensuring content ideas align with brand storytelling.
- Develop scripts and content outlines for TikTok and Reels, ensuring engaging and well-structured narratives.
- Collaborate with internal and external creators to execute social-first content that enhances brand engagement.
- Research and source UGC-style content ideas, ensuring our brand remains authentic and relatable.
- Be ready and willing as needed to jump in front of the camera as well and behind.
- Work with the Social Media Manager to support larger campaign activations, ensuring content is aligned across all platforms.
- Provide strategic input on social content direction, helping to refine messaging and creative execution.
- Ensure content is optimised for engagement, reach, and shareability across social platforms.
- Track emerging social media trends, proactively identifying opportunities to incorporate them into the content strategy.
KEY SKILLS
- 2+ years of experience in a social media-focused role, preferably in eCommerce or lifestyle brands.
- Strong experience in conceptualising and planning social-first content, particularly for TikTok. Hint: TikTok is key!
- A deep understanding of content strategy, audience psychology, and engagement tactics.
- A keen eye for social media trends, with the ability to translate them into engaging brand content.
- Comfortable working in a collaborative role alongside another Social Media Specialist, ensuring a seamless workflow.
- Experience in content research, ideation, and campaign support.
- Strong organisational and communication skills, with an ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
