There is an exciting opportunity to work as our Local Production Coordinator on a 12 month parental leave cover contract. Join our Production team to ensure the effective execution of our local product development process.

The Local Production Coordinator is primarily responsible for assisting with production coordination and maintaining production schedules as well as supporting the production team to reach their operational objectives through the product development process.

  • Assist in implementing and maintaining production schedules and plans.
  • Administer and assess all pre production samples and ensure all pre production sample invoices are correct.
  • Ensure all local suppliers and manufacturers are meeting V&Ws quality, time and cost targets.
  • Coordinate the fit and sample process from pre production to bulk production.
  • Attend fit sessions and prepare detailed documentation with comments and feedback to provide to suppliers.
  • Measuring samples and updating and maintaining all specs with correct measurements.
  • Manage embroidery and printing services for bulk production.
  • Ensure effective communication between all stakeholders in the production process.
  • Liaise directly with the warehouse to assist with delivery management and updates.
  • Maintain and update WIP to ensure all style statuses and additional comments are included.
  • Organise, file and archive samples, swatches and any raw materials.
  • Participate in regular production meetings and weekly critical path meetings.
  • Support the production team with daily administrative tasks including: general filing, photocopying, delivery of schedule maintenance, data entry, coordinating deliveries with freight forwarders, updating collection details into the EMS system, sample maintenance and faulty product procedures where required.

 

KEY SKILLS

  • Strong knowledge of the fashion retail, wholesale and manufacturing industry
  • Excellent communication skills and working with multiple stakeholders
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to manage conflicting priorities effectively and efficiently
  • Good computer skills with MS Office and any relevant production software
  • Bachelor in Fashion Design or equivalent
  • 2+ years of relevant production experience preferably within the fashion or luxury goods industry
