ROMY is an art-led fashion brand with a growing global presence. We are seeking an experienced eCommerce Manager to take full ownership of our Shopify store, leading both the strategic direction and hands-on execution of our online business.

This role is suited to an established eCommerce professional who has done this before—someone confident operating as the sole eCommerce lead, able to advise at leadership level, and motivated to help take ROMY’s digital channel to its next phase of growth.

Reporting to the Founder & Creative Director, the eCommerce Manager will be fully accountable for the performance of the ROMY Shopify website. You will own online trading, site execution, product merchandising, and CRM, while also acting as a trusted advisor on eCommerce strategy and digital performance.

This is a hands-on role. You will be responsible for both setting direction and delivering execution, with the autonomy to make decisions and the expectation that you bring informed, commercial recommendations to the table.

While marketing and CRM form part of the remit, the primary focus is eCommerce strategy, Shopify performance, and commercial execution.

This role is based in Hobart, working closely with a small, collaborative team.

  • Take full ownership of the day-to-day management and performance of the ROMY Shopify website across Australia and the US
  • Monitor sales, conversion, traffic, and key trading metrics, translating insights into action
  • Plan and execute product launches, promotions, and sales aligned to the trading and marketing calendar
  • Maintain site accuracy across product content, pricing, collections, navigation, SEO, and UX
  • Work with developers to implement site improvements, troubleshoot issues, and enhance functionality
  • Manage product uploads, categorisation, imagery, descriptions, pricing, SEO, and content accuracy
  • Optimise onsite merchandising based on performance data, seasonal priorities, and customer behaviour
  • Partner closely with the Production team to monitor stock levels, manage risk, and apply strategic thinking across A/B/C stock levels
  • Ensure strong visual merchandising and cohesive storytelling across the site
  • Lead CRM strategy and execution, including automations, segmentation, and lifecycle thinking
  • Manage CRM delivery through Klaviyo, including EDM and SMS campaigns aligned to launches and key brand moments
  • Own testing, reporting, and optimisation of CRM performance
  • Support digital marketing initiatives including SEO, paid media, and traffic-driving activity, providing guidance and insight on performance
  • Own reporting across eCommerce performance including revenue, conversion, AOV, traffic, retention, returns, and channel performance
  • Analyse customer and channel data to identify opportunities for growth and optimisation
  • Use insights to inform trading decisions, site optimisation, and campaign execution
  • Act as a key advisor to the Founder & Creative Director, providing clear, data-led recommendations

KEY SKILLS

  • 3+ years’ experience in fashion or retail eCommerce, operating at Manager level
  • Proven experience owning an eCommerce channel end-to-end, ideally as a sole or lead eCommerce manager
  • Strong strategic judgment paired with a willingness to be deeply hands-on
  • Confident advising senior stakeholders on eCommerce performance, priorities, and opportunities
  • Strong hands-on experience with Shopify, Google Ads, and CRM platforms (Klaviyo preferred)
  • Commercially minded, analytical, and highly organised
  • Comfortable working autonomously and taking full accountability for outcomes
