We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Pattern and Garment Tech Support Intern to join our team. As an intern, you will gain hands-on experience in garment preparation, fitting and technical support.

You will assist in preparing garments for fitting sessions, supporting the technical team, and performing various tasks related to garment steaming, measuring, and tech pack setups. This is a great opportunity to learn about the fashion technical process and work with experienced professionals in the industry.

GARMENT PREPARATION

• Assist in preparing garments for fitting sessions, ensuring they are ready according to the Fit List.

STEAMING AND MEASURING GARMENTS

• Help steam garments to ensure they are wrinkle-free and in pristine condition for fitting.
• Assist in accurately measuring garments and ensure they are set up according to required specifications.
• Check hang tape on all garments and understand functionality, hanger appeal and improvements on positioning when discussing with the technical team.

GARMENT REVIEW AND TECH PACKS

• Prepare garments for pre-fits by placing them on mannequins and reviewing with the technical team.
• Work with the Pattern Maker/ Garment Tech to review the make of garments and add necessary notes to the tech pack before fitting.
• Take and add photos of any issues found on garments to the tech pack’s comments page.
• Support tech team by learning how to add notes and close-up photos of garments fitted, learn function and how to navigate through TP.

TECHNICAL SUPPORT

• Help set up measurement specifications in tech packs, adding arrows but not inputting measurements.
• Provide support for mock-up cutting and sewing alongside the technical team.

COMMUNICATION COORDINATION

• Follow up with the design team after fitting to collect updated tech sketches and to update tech packs once they are ready.
• Collaborate with the technical and design teams to meet garment preparation and fitting requirements.
• Add post-fitting photos to the tech packs.

TO BE CONSIDERED FOR THE ROLE

• Currently pursuing or recently completed a certificate/diploma/degree in Fashion design, Apparel, Fashion and Textiles (Design and product development).
• Interest in learning about the Patternmaking and Garment Tech process.
• Technical Skills: Basic to mid-level proficiency in Excel.
• A keen eye for detail.
• Excellent communication skills, written and verbal.
• Committed to completing 2-3 days a week over 6 weeks at our Rosebery Headquarters.
