ABOUT THE ROLE
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic PR Account Director to join our team. This role is ideal for a senior communications professional who thrives in a fast-paced, evolving environment and is passionate about using strategic media to drive social change.
As Account Director, you will lead the development and delivery of communications campaigns from start to finish — from ideation and strategy, to media outreach, to stakeholder engagement and reporting. You’ll work independently and collaboratively, guiding team members and shaping the way we show up for clients.
- Develop and execute media strategies for new and existing clients.
- Lead new business development, including proposal writing and pitching.
- Manage PR outreach and recommend targeted media opportunities.
- Oversee on-the-ground media management, events, and activations.
- Develop and manage campaign budgets and timelines.
- Coordinate internal and external resources (copywriters, designers, digital teams, etc.)
- Build and maintain strong, respectful relationships with clients and collaborators.
- Contribute to the strategic growth and creative evolution of the agency.
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
- 10+ years of experience in PR agency environments.
- Desired but not necessary, bachelor’s degree in Media, Journalism, Strategic Communications, or related field.
- Proven ability to develop and implement successful PR campaigns.
- Strong network of media contacts across traditional and emerging platforms.
- Experience managing campaign budgets, timelines, and resources.
