PANDORA’S TALISMAN COLLECTION SHARPENS ITS FOCUS ON ANCIENT COINS WITH A MODERN LENS

This autumn, Pandora releases their new collection, Pandora Talisman. Inspired by ancient coins and inscribed with Latin phrases like amor vincit omnia (“love conquers all”) and per aspera ad astra (“through hardships to the stars”), these pieces aren’t just decorative–they’re declarations. At first glance, the piece feels a bit more gritty for the brand. Less polished and more tactile, mixed with debilitated textures, the pieces become perfectly imperfect. The symbols themselves, having existed for centuries, are paired with a different language, inviting wearers to choose what resonates most. With twelve talismans forming the core of the collection, crafted in sterling silver and 14k gold plating, the pieces are designed to be worn solo or layered on new chain styles, crafted for exactly this kind of storytelling. More than a collection, Talisman is Pandora stepping into a more symbolic space, creating something that feels vintage, feels found, with something that speaks for you.
The Pandora Talisman collection is now available on Pandora.com
HOUSE OF MCQUEEN BRINGS THE STORY OF
LEE ALEXANDER MCQUEEN TO THE BROADWAY STAGE
This fall, the story of Alexander McQueen will take to the stage. Not the runway, this time, but the actual stage. Showing off-Broadway at The Mansion at Hudson Yards, House of McQueen delivers an immersive live theater experience. Nearly a decade in production, the show will tell the story of the brand’s founder Lee Alexander McQueen, covering his early days as a designer and creating the powerhouse of the brand we know today. Written by Darrah Cloud, directed by Sam Helfrich, with McQueen’s nephew, artist Gary James McQueen producing, the show doesn’t aim to tidy up Lee McQueen’s story so much as sit inside it: the chaos, the brilliance, the brutality of a mind that never stopped moving. The play weaves together live performance, archival footage, LED visuals, and original garments—some of which haven’t been seen publicly in over a decade.
House of McQueen opens on September 9, 2025. Performances will run Tuesday through Sunday at The Mansion at Hudson Yards on 508 W 37th St
SOFIA COPPOLA EXPLORES THE HALLS OF CHANEL’S HAUTE COUTURE ATELIER IN A NEW TOME
Before she was a director in films such as Lost in Translation and The Bling Ring, Sofia Coppola was a fifteen-year-old girl interning for Chanel. Now, nearly 40 years later, her latest contribution to the house? A 450-page love letter to its haute couture legacy, assembled in collaboration with Éditions 7L. Combining unseen sketches, behind-the- scenes runway photos, client try-ons, and archival ephemera, the tome goes through decades of design, as we see the work of Gabrielle Chanel, Karl Lagerfeld, and Virginie Viard collaged together through Coppola’s signature style. The book guides readers through the history of design and the making of Chanel into the fashion powerhouse it is today. For anyone who’s ever been captivated by a piece of couture—not just the garment but the world it builds—this book serves as both artifact and new offering through Coppola’s eyes: one that is soft-lit, exacting, and endlessly influential.
Chanel Haute Couture by Sofia Coppola (ed.), co-published by MACK, Éditions 7L, and Important Flowers, will be available September 8, 2025, at mackbooks.us
Mark Ronson’s Night People Is A LoveLetter To 90s New York
Although New York in the ‘90s was loud—some would even say lawless—it was certainly alive. And right in the middle of it was Mark Ronson. Before Grammys and stadium anthems, before $50 cover charges and guest list only soirées, there were crates of vinyl and a teenager chasing the beat across the five boroughs. Now, in Night People: How to Be a DJ in 90s New York City, Ronson returns to a particular type of club culture that has since been lost. It’s a story told through the rooms he played in, the records he worshipped, and the beautifully chaotic cast of characters who filled those nights: fashion kids, rappers on the rise, music obsessives, and misfits who only felt fully themselves once the sun went down. Ronson captures the electricity of the scene in vivid, stereo-sharp detail. It’s funny, messy, and deeply personal—a behind-the-velvet-rope look at a vanished era and the foundation of everything he would go on to build. “DJing in 90s New York informed everything I’ve done since,” says Ronson. “This is my love letter to the night, to the music, and to the weird, brilliant tribe I found along the way.”
Night People will be available in hardcover, e-book, and audiobook formats beginning September 16, 2025
PRADA RE-INTRODUCES US ALL TO ITS MOST BELOVED BAG: THE GALLERIA
Since its debut in 2007, the Prada Galleria has held its shape. Not just in form, but in culture. It’s a bag that’s become something close to an archetype. Easily recognizable, built on elegance, and functional in equal measure, the Galleria is continuing to evolve. In its latest iteration, the Galleria subtly shifts its proportions. The silhouette elongates, the handles extend. Still classically structured, but with the kind of ease that feels less rigid in carrying. Crafted in the house’s signature Saffiano leather, crosshatched and architectural to add dimension and warmth, the devil lives in the details. Going through extensive quality control checks, the leather, hardware, and everything in between are hand-cut and made by an artisan as each part of the process is cared for, resulting in a modern and wearable masterpiece. Founder Miuccia Prada has always understood what makes a good bag. It’s a certain level of luxury combined with a little fun. It’s what makes the Galleria feel so relevant without ever chasing trends. Although it may be one of the it bags of today, its style will stand the test of time as an update refines rather than reinvents. Its sophistication lies in its craft, as demanded by its wearer. The people of today just want something comfortable, cute, and can carry whatever is needed—receipts, sunglasses, Labubus, and all.
