How to Shop the Best Lily Collins’ Looks

After the third season of Emily in Paris, costume designer Marylin Fitoussi teased to ELLE.com that it might finally be time for Lily Collins’ Emily Cooper to “embrace, a little bit, the French culture”—in her wardrobe as well as her personal life. “This young American girl is saying, ‘Oh, the high-waisted trousers with the wide legs…[can] I take it and do it in my own style?’” Now, with the fourth season rolling out over two parts on Netflix, Fitoussi’s vision is coming into focus.

In season 4, Emily still struts through the City of Light in neon colors and dangerously high heels, but she also opts for trousers and button-downs and blazers that speak to a more “mature” French sensibility. “She’s much more in control, maybe much more powerful,” Fitoussi recently told Fashionista. “I think what will define the new season is this masculine-feminine twist that we never had before.”

The outfit is a perfect encapsulation of Emily’s elevated-but-playful aesthetic, fusing classic tailoring with geometric shapes and eye-catching color.

Another typical Emily office look: a baby-pink Jacquemus cardigan with a Philosophy Di Lorenzo Serafini romper and Kate Spade tote.
