At Jo Mercer, we believe in creating footwear and accessories that are distinctive, contemporary, and designed to be worn with confidence. We’re looking for a Social Media & Content Creator to bring that same energy to our digital presence, growing our community and shaping how our brand is experienced online.
This is a hands-on creative role (based at our South Yarra offices) where you’ll produce elevated, on-brand content that inspires, engages, and drives growth across Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, LinkedIn, and beyond. From scroll-stopping Reels to campaign storytelling, fortnightly blogs to EDM content, you’ll play a pivotal role in how Jo Mercer shows up in the digital space.
- Lead bi-monthly content shoots end-to-end – from concept development and shot lists to on-set direction and asset delivery, ensuring all output aligns with Jo Mercer’s brand vision and campaign priorities.
- Plan, shoot, and edit weekly brand content including Reels, Stories, flatlays, behind-the-scenes footage, and campaign snippets.
- Contribute to Jo Mercer’s three seasonal campaign shoots each year, with the opportunity to take a lead role in creative direction and on-set production alongside the Marketing & E-Commerce Manager.
- Build and maintain a content calendar aligned with product launches, campaigns, and key brand moments.
- Write engaging, SEO-friendly copy for captions, EDMs, and blogs that reflect Jo Mercer’s refined brand voice.
- Manage influencer partnerships, PR agency requests, and UGC to ensure consistent, on-brand content.
- Capture additional in-house content, from product photography to campaign storytelling.
- Monitor and respond to community engagement daily, fostering meaningful customer connections.
- Report on content performance and provide insights to optimise growth and engagement.
KEY SKILLS
- 1–3 years’ experience in social media, content creation, or a similar digital role.
- Proven ability to film, edit, and produce content across multiple formats and platforms.
- Strong writing skills with the ability to adapt tone for social, email, and blog content.
- Experience working with influencers, UGC, or PR agencies.
- Organised, proactive, and able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- A creative mindset with a sharp eye for detail, styling, and brand-aligned aesthetics.
- Confident staying across social media trends, platform updates, and new opportunities.
- Bonus: product photography, EDM planning, or graphic design experience.
