2 min readThe Social Media and Marketing Assistant at Lucy Folk will be a self-driven and highly creative professional. This role will assist in executing our innovative and tactical marketing strategies for our audience. Reporting to the Marketing and PR Manager, the ideal candidate will be a creative storyteller who understands the power of social media and design and is well-versed in the worlds of jewellery, fashion, art, and culture.
- Strategically plan and execute the social content calendar across multiple platforms, including but not limited to; Instagram, Tik Tok, Facebook, Linked In, Pinterest etc. Ensuring the social calendar is in line with the wider brand calendar and leverages key marketing dates.
- Create bespoke social content, tailored to different social media channels. Highlighting our stores, collections, products, and people.
- Under the guidance of the Marketing and PR Manager, manage copywriting across all social channels, implementing a consistent brand tone of voice.
- Actively monitor user-generated content and press mentions on social media channels, leveraging earned media opportunities.
- Stay informed on the changing social media landscape, ensuring Lucy Folk is at the forefront of industry trends and technological advancements.
- Work with the eCommerce team to develop paid marketing campaigns in line with the marketing and brand calendar, optimising as needed.
- Conduct weekly, monthly and quarterly reporting on social media results, covering organic and paid channels and suggesting improvements.
- Collaborate with the broader brand team to implement key gifting strategies, assisting in outreach, activations, product coordination, and content briefing.
- Partner with the Marketing and PR Manager to handle Lucy Folk press enquiries and manage press collections and lend-outs to media.
- Work closely with the team to develop innovative marketing concepts for retail stores, product launches, and key trading periods.
- Support the Marketing Manager in overseeing all seasonal campaigns, lookbooks, new product shoots, and content creation for the Lucy Folk brand.
- Conduct weekly, monthly and quarterly reporting on PR and marketing results.
KEY SKILLS
- At least one year of experience in a similar role, preferably within the Retail Industry.
- Tertiary qualifications in communications and or marketing, or equivalent
- Highly organized and able to work well under pressure and to deadlines.
- A driven, passionate, collaborative and creative person.
- Experience in Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Premier Pro, Google Analytics (or similar programs) is preferred. Strong video editing for Instagram Reels and Tiktok’s.
- A passion for beautifully crafted and inspired design
- Natural understanding of fashion brand aesthetics and curating aligned content
